After spending more than 15 years playing in bands throughout Vancouver, British Columbia, Luke Kokoszka shifted toward hardware synthesis as a more solitary and expressive musical language. That transition has led to a growing international audience, with over 180,000 listeners across more than 160 countries and more than half a million streams worldwide. His music has been featured on playlists and radio programs around the globe, including Noods Radio and KEXP’s Pacific Notions.
Drawing inspiration from artists such as Nils Frahm, Tim Hecker, and Hiroshi Yoshimura, as well as the emotional pacing of film and literature, Luke Kokoszka favours atmosphere and narrative over traditional song structures. Lush pads, drifting melodies, intricate arpeggios, and layers of reverb and tape texture ebb and flow, creating cinematic soundscapes that feel like memories suspended in time.
He has independently released 4 studio albums, 2026’s Beneath The Sea Of Clouds There Was Nothing But Eternity, 2024’s …And Then Everything Was Beautiful Again, 2023’s Leave The Memory Of Great Virtues To The World, and 2022’s Did You Dream In Colour Last Night?
